INTERNAL QUALITY ASSURANCE CELL (IQAC)

The P. D. Karkhanis College’s Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) was established on 20/06/2008. Recognizing quality enhancement as a continuous process, the IQAC has seamlessly integrated into the institution’s framework, dedicated to realizing goals of quality enhancement and sustainability. Its primary mandate is to develop a system for deliberate, consistent, and catalytic improvement across the institution's performance spectrum. During the re-accreditation phase, it strategically aligns all institutional endeavors towards fostering holistic academic excellence.

Objective

● Develop and implement a system for conscious, consistent, and catalytic action aimed at improving the academic and administrative performance of the institution.

● Promote measures fostering institutional functioning towards quality enhancement through the internalization of a quality culture and institutionalization of best practices.

Strategies:

● Develop mechanisms and procedures ensuring the timely, efficient, and progressive execution of academic, administrative, and financial tasks.

● Enhance the relevance and quality of academic and research programs.

● Ensure equitable access to and affordability of academic programs across various segments of society.

● Optimize and integrate modern methods of teaching and learning.

● Ensure the credibility of evaluation procedures.

● Ensure the adequacy, maintenance, and proper allocation of support structures and services.

● Foster the dissemination of research findings and networking with other institutions at both national and international levels.

Functions:

● Develop and implement quality benchmarks/parameters for various academic and administrative activities.

● Facilitate the creation of a learner-centric environment conducive to quality education and faculty development..

● Collect and analyze feedback from students, faculty, and stakeholders on quality-related institutional processes

● Disseminate information on various quality parameters within higher education.

● Organize inter and intra-institutional workshops, seminars, and promote quality circles.

● Document various programs/activities aimed at quality improvement.

● Develop and maintain an institutional database to enhance institutional quality.

● Foster the development of a Quality Culture within the institution.

● Coordinate and conduct quality audits of the institution.

IQAC will Facilitate/Contribute:
